APCERT (Asia Pacific Computer Emergency Response Team) is pleased to announce the Call for Presentations and Workshops for the APCERT Conference 2014. The Conference will be held on 18th
– 21st March 2014 at Meridian Taipei / Howard Civil Service International House, Taipei, hosted by TWNCERT. You are cordially invited to submit proposals to present/facilitate a workshop at this event.
APCERT Conference 2014
The APCERT Conference is an annual event on cyber security throughout the Asia Pacific and beyond. The theme of APCERT Conference 2014 is “Prepare for a Better Future – The Role of CSIRT Community”. The Conference Program Committee
welcomes proposals for presentations or workshops to either the Closed or Public Conference.
*NOTE: Through 18th –21st March, there will also be closed meetings exclusively for APCERT members at the same venue, including the APCERT Annual General Meeting (AGM).
Topics
The APCERT 2014 Program Committee welcomes submissions contributing to the leading development of information security. Suggested topics include but are not limited to:
- Mobile Security
- Cloud Security
- Big Data
- CIIP
- APT
*NOTE: Submissions promoting or demoting specific products or services will not be considered / accepted.
*NOTE: Presentations run for approximately 30 minutes, and workshops may run up to 90 minutes. We would recommend the speakers to leave 5-10minutes to allow time for questions.
*NOTE: Presentation and workshop topics should relate directly to cyber security, the work of computer emergency and incident response teams and the vision and mission of APCERT. The APCERT vision is to work to help create a Safe, Clean and Reliable cyber space in the Asia
Pacific Region through global collaboration. Topics of particular relevance and interest to the APCERT community that you may wish to consider addressing are:
mobile and cloud security, big data, critical information infrastructure protection and APT.
Submission Requirements
Please submit on-line. The Submission deadline is 31 December 2013.
Presentation and Workshop Selection
The Program Committee will independently select all topics and speakers based on the quality of presentations and relevance of topics. Acceptance of these submissions is at the discretion of the Program Committee.
*NOTE: Due to the nature of APCERT’s funding, unfortunately we are unable to cover the travel/accommodation costs for speakers. We sincerely hope this would not affect your participation.
*NOTE: Presentations run up to 60 minutes including Q&A, and workshops may run up to half day. We would recommend the speakers to leave 5-10 minutes for Q&A.
